Epworth Village’s purpose is to serve God by providing opportunities for success in a secure, loving environment that nurtures personal growth, individual and family strengths, and responsibility for self and others. They offer a variety of services to children and families with severe emotional and/or behavioral disorders. They are located in York, Nebraska. We serve them by providing financial and material resources, as well as box tops and work visits.
Our 2014 Vacation Bible School mission was to collect paper towel, napkins, and toilet paper for Epworth Village. The kids did a great job, bringing in 72 packages of napkins, 188 rolls of paper towels, and 615 rolls of toilet paper!

Brush Up Nebraska Paint-a-Thon
The Brush Up Nebraska Paint-A-Thon is a community based volunteer program that paints the homes of low-income elderly and low-income disabled homeowners so that they may maintain their property, increase energy efficiency, and beautify the community. Painting their home creates a new sense of pride to the homeowners, and to homeowners in the area. Brush Up Nebraska was established in 1989, and in its first 18 years has painted over 2,015 homes with the help of volunteers participating in Paint-a-Thons. Brush Up Nebraska serves the Omaha Metropolitan community area including: Omaha, Bellevue, Gretna, Elkhorn, LaVista, Ralston, Papillion, Springfield, and Council Bluffs, IA. Visit their website at www.brushupnebraska.org
We have been painting houses in the Paint-a-Thon since 2005. We paint anywhere from one to three houses each year, and also perform some maintenance and minor construction projects when needed and possible.

United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR)
UMCOR is the humanitarian relief and development agency of the United Methodist Church, a worldwide denomination. Compelled by Christ, UMCOR responds to natural or human made disasters—those interruptions of such magnitude that they overwhelm a community’s ability to recover on its own.
Our annual One Great Hour of Sharing offering goes to support the administrative costs of UMCOR, so that all donations to UMCOR relief can go to work for those in need.
