Our Sunday Morning Schedule

Sunday School will be held every Sunday during the school year from 10:45 am – 11:45 am following the church service.  It is for children in Kindergarten through 5th grade.

At 10:45 listen for the Deep Blue Theme song. All Kindergarten through 5th grade students should come with a parent to the Education Hallway for Check-in.

10:45- 11:00 Check-in and Jump-in activity  Parents will accompany their children to the check-in station.  Each will receive a sticker.  Then children will be able to choose their Jump-in activities.  These are arrival activities that help the children think about what they will be learning.

11:00-11:15 Music  The first activity in this section is a transition activity that will move the children from their interest group to the large-group activities.  Then Holly will teach the children a song that ties into our unit that they will perform in worship throughout the year.

11:15-11:30 Dive Deeper   In this session the children will learn about the Bible Story and Bible verse.  They will watch Asia, Edgar, and Kat explore the Bible.

11:30-11:45 Grow Stronger  This section is where we break up into small group age-appropriate discussion.  Each session ends with the small group activity.  Each week we close with prayer requests by the children and a prayer for the children.

Check-In Process

Parents will accompany their children to the check-in station at 10:45. Both the parent and child will receive a sticker. Place the name sticker on your child and keep the other sticker for yourself.  Bring it back when you get your children.  This system has been put in place to keep your children safe.

How can I help?

Helping is very easy and a lot of fun! There are many different ways to help. Here are a few:

Greet children and help parents with the check-in process.  Help children decide which Jump-in station they would like to participate in that day.

Station Leaders
Lead one of 3 stations in the children’s interest area. This could be art, science, games, writing, and logic.

Music Leader
Lead the children in music.

Large Group Leader
Teach the children about the Bible story and Bible verse for the week.  Connect the stories with other stories the children know. Lead large group activities and discussion.

Younger/Older Elementary Leaders and Helpers
Lead children in a small group discussion and activities about the story this week.  These volunteers can also be the Station Leaders and Greeter.

The most important thing to make Sunday School work is through faithful servants. There are opportunities for assisting as little as one Sunday each month or as often as every week.
